STATE COLLEGE – The Downtown State College Improvement District (DSCID), a Neighborhood Improvement District representing over 350 participating businesses in Downtown State College, will host the second-ever Light Up Downtown event.
The DSCID will host Light Up Downtown on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Light Up will begin at the MLK Plaza at 5 p.m. and will include other downtown locations that will remain lit for the holiday season.

Free Trolley Rides will loop through Light Up from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. during the event. The trolley will also be available on Friday, Dec. 3 (First Friday), Saturday, Dec. 4, Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 11.
“The holidays are a magical time and our goal is to transform Downtown State College into a winter wonderland where people of all ages will find joy.
