PHILIPSBURG – The Philipsburg Historical Foundation (PHF) is looking for new members and to elect a fresh board of trustees.
If you are interested in local history and committed to preserving and restoring historical landmarks in Philipsburg and its vicinity, the foundation wants to hear from you.
The PHF will hold a meeting on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Rowland Theatre. The purpose of the meeting is to share information about the PHF, to answer questions people may have about the organization, its mission and operation, to collect information and dues ($15) from citizens “in good standing” who would like to commit to the cause and to elect a board of new members who will serve as trustees on the foundation board.
If you are interested in joining the PHF, but are unable to attend this meeting, please leave a message on the Philipsburg Historical Foundation Facebook page or through its Web site, https://www.phf1797.com/
The PHF Preamble states:
“We, the Citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, associate ourselves for the purpose of preserving and restoring historic landmarks in the Borough of Philipsburg and vicinity, collecting, restoring, and displaying material of historic interest, disseminating information relating to the historic past to thereby gain a clearer appreciation of the heritage that is ours.”
