CLEARFIELD – Cruising was once popular in years’ past, and is now making a come back for one night only.

Hosted by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) and Passport Radio 98.5/900, Cruise the Past will take you back to the good ‘ol days, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., Aug. 21 in downtown Clearfield.

Local country music singer Heather Woodel-Olson will also entertain that night at the Corner Concert Series under the gazebo at Lower Witmer Park, beginning at 7 p.m.

In addition, it was noted the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department will hold a boot drive during the cruise event.

And then, at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22, the CRC will host an “oldies” concert at Lower Witmer Park, featuring music from Jack Woodford, aka Captain Jack, and Charles Schenck.

“It’ll take you back to them good ‘ol days of rock ‘n roll,” said Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner. “You’ll sing along to your favorite songs that are still as popular today as in the 60’s and 70’s.”

Admission is free and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc. for a fun evening for the whole family to enjoy.

Event organizers are also strongly encouraging attendees to adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) public health and safety guidelines.
