The Curwensville Elementary wrestling program had 8 wrestlers attend the
Area 5 tournament at Clearfield Area Junior – Senior High School on February 23.
Ty Conklin and McKenzie Astorino will complete at the Pennsylvania Junior
Wrestling Youth State championships on March 14 and 15 at the Peterson
Event Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The 6u does not compete at the state championship.
McKenzie Astorino is the first female wrestler to qualify for the
Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Youth State championships for the
Curwensville Elementary program. Mckenzie will also participate in the
Northeast Girls Folkstyle Championships in Gettysburg, PA on March 8.
