State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Wednesday in the 900 block of Clearfield Street in Wallaceton Borough. During a domestic altercation, a 15-year-old female juvenile allegedly struck several family members. She was charged with harassment as a result of the incident.
- State police received a report about a lost/missing firearm Thursday in the area of Bilger’s Rocks in Bloom Township. According to state police, the firearm was a S&W 637 .38 special that was stainless steel with a two-inch barrel.
- State police reported an accident shooting occurred Tuesday on Egypt Road in Bradford Township. According to state police, a male suffered a superficial, single gunshot wound in his left arm after falling asleep while holding his handgun, which discharged and accidentally struck him. State police say the male transported himself to Clearfield Penn Highlands for medical treatment.
- State police received a report about a burglary that occurred Tuesday on Egypt Road in Bradford Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence, removed items and damaged property. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- State police received a report about a scam that occurred Tuesday on Ida Street in Woodward Township. According to state police, someone contacted the victim on social media and attempted to start a relationship. Then, they allegedly requested she transfer $150 via an app and once it was received, they ceased contact.
- State police received a report about a theft Feb. 4 on Elizabeth Street in Beccaria Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a package, valued at $70, from the victim’s residence.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief Feb. 7 on Deer Creek Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly threw eggs from a passing vehicle, which then struck the victim’s vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Monday on Hogback Hill in Bradford Township. During the incident, a 35-year-old Woodland man showed up and allegedly struck the driver’s side window of the victim’s truck with a wooden club. Afterwards, he fled the scene on foot, and a search of the area had negative results. Damage to the window consisted of two scratches, state police say. Charges are currently pending against the man through the district court.
Curwensville Borough
- Police were contacted concerning borough ordinance issues on Anderson Avenue. As a result, residents are reminded that any structures, which are listed as condemned, are not inhabitable. Police will file the appropriate charges if anyone is found in violation.
- Police took a male into custody on outstanding charges through the Lawrence Township Police Department. At that time, he was allegedly found in possession of illegal substances.
- Police responded to a traffic problem on South Street. Upon arrival, it was determined not to be criminal in nature.
- Police were contacted by an area resident who was concerned after being called by someone who claimed she’d been in a motor vehicle crash. Police advised that if she was contacted again to obtain contact information, and an officer would handle the matter.
- Police received a report about shots fired on Bloomington Avenue. However, upon investigation, police believed that it was likely fireworks.
- Police took a male into custody following a traffic stop when it was discovered he had outstanding warrants through another county.
- Police received a report from a local business about a bad check.
- Police were contacted by a State Street business over issues with dogs defecating on the property. Police would like to remind residents to clean up after their animals and to not allow their pets to urinate/defecate on other people’s properties.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person in the area of Filbert and George streets. However, police were unable to locate them.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with a psychological emergency. Emergency personnel transported the individual to the hospital for further evaluation.
