New Poetry Collection Offers Different Perspective of Truth

CLEARFIELD – Seeking and showcasing truth through poetry, songs and sayings, the new book “Truth Poet: Truths of Our Fallen World and Glorious God,” authored by Joshua I. Sykes, delves into truth on various levels — some truth is quite hard and controversial, while much is comforting. The book was published by Inspiring Voices.

Sykes believes truth is an important thing and needs to be shared in any way possible. The truth Sykes is talking about is Jesus.

His book contains poems about real situations and material that many readers may have experienced or know of themselves. The book offers readers a different lens and spurs them on in personal growth.

Sykes wants readers to take away that “Jesus loves you right where you are, no matter who you are. Start to know Him; He is the Truth.”

The book is currently available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

About the Author

Joshua Sykes is a new author from Clearfield, Pa. As a former skillful liar, truth became very important to him when he genuinely started following Jesus in his early 20’s.

This, along with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in English from The Pennsylvania State University, Sykes brings a unique perspective to seeking truth through real and relatable material.

Sykes serves in various children’s and teen’s ministries at the Clearfield Alliance Church.

In his work life, he works with teens and young adults who are in or have been in the foster care and placement system.

Sykes seeks to pass hope and truth on to the next generation.
