
DUBOIS – The Winkler Gallery and Art Education Center of DuBois will present a Christmas stained-glass project class.
Participants will make two leaded, bevelled glass Moravian stars, one to display at home and the other to gift.
Each star will measure eight inches wide by 10 inches high; participants will not be required to cut or grind glass.
Rainbows of refracted light will sparkle around the room when sunlight hits the prisms of the bevelled glass star.
This class will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at the gallery. No experience is necessary.
It will begin at 10 a.m., an hour break will be taken at 12 p.m. for lunch and the class will resume at 1 p.m.
Cost for the class is $80 per person. All reservations must be made through the instructor John Thomas at 814-220-5154.
The Winkler Gallery and Art Education Center is located on the second floor at 36 N. Brady St., DuBois.
It’s a non-profit gallery that represents the artwork of the very best artists of the area.
The gallery is open from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
