CLEARFIELD – One of four people found in possession of a quantity of drugs during a traffic stop in June was scheduled for sentencing Monday.

Gabrielle Elizabeth Reffett, 20, of West Decatur was traveling in a vehicle driven by Jeremy Gregoire, 27, of Clearfield when it was pulled over by Lawrence Township police.

On Monday Reffett pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and was sentenced by President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman to six months to one year in jail and two years consecutive probation.

In a second unrelated case, she was sentenced to six months concurrent probation on each charge of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the affidavit, Gregoire was known to have a suspended driver’s license, which caused police to stop the vehicle. The other occupants, Reffett, who was in the front passenger seat, and Alyssa Jo McGarry, 28, of Clearfield, who was in the back seat, were known to the officers for being drug users and were on parole.

A fourth occupant was a juvenile that was released to a parent.

The car had numerous back packs and cans used to hide drugs scattered throughout it.

When police searched the back pack and purse belonging to the front seat passenger, Reffett, they found a scale, pipe containing marijuana residue, two Clonazepam pills and a sealed bag of psychedelic mushrooms.

After she was taken into custody, she stated that there was a large quantity of mushrooms still in the vehicle.

A further search uncovered the large bag of mushrooms, 96 stamp bags of heroin, suspected methamphetamine, a gun, bullets and a large amount of drug packaging items, according to the report.

Gregoire allegedly had over $1,400 in cash.

The investigation revealed that the group had allegedly been conducting drug sales from a local motel and Gregoire was on a drug run when he was stopped by police.

In an interview with police, Reffett said the heroin belonged to McGarry and advised she heard McGarry while they were at the motel telling someone on the phone that she could sell them a block of heroin for $200, according to the criminal complaint.

McGarry reportedly told police it was Gregoire, who was arranging the heroin sale.

Both women said Gregoire owned the mushrooms and gun.

Court documents indicate that Gregoire has also signed a plea agreement and is scheduled to be sentenced in November. The case against McGarry is still pending.
