CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man has been accused of selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant.

Gene W. Robbins, 39, has been charged by the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigations, with four felony counts each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and criminal use of communication facility.

He’s also been charged with four misdemeanor counts each of intentional possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Robbins waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday during centralized court at the Clearfield County Jail. Bail has been set at $50,000 monetary.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Feb. 1 and Feb. 9 of last year, Robbins delivered a plastic Ziploc baggie of suspected methamphetamine to a CI. Both times the CI paid $50 for the drug.

On Feb. 23, 2018, Robbins delivered a plastic baggie with 3.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine to a CI. And the CI paid $375 to Robbins for the drug.

On March 9, 2018, Robbins delivered a plastic baggie containing 3.48 grams of suspected methamphetamine to a CI.  This time, the CI paid $400 to Robbins for the drug.

All four transactions were pre-arranged via telephone and or Facebook, police said, and occurred within Boggs Township, Clearfield County.
