CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman will be spending a long period of time in state prison for possessing a variety of drugs.
During colloquy court Monday, Alisha Rae Hayward, 34, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-heroin and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-methamphetamine, both felonies.
President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman sentenced her to three to six years in state prison.
Hayward is currently serving a state prison sentence for violating her parole.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 14, a state trooper who spotted Hayward walking in Clearfield Borough stopped her because he was aware she had a warrant from state parole officials.
After he exited his patrol vehicle, he confirmed her identity and asked her to come with him. He told her she had a warrant and she acknowledged she was aware of it.
She was then taken into custody. While she was being transported, she told the trooper she had “a lot of drugs” in her bag.
Police searched her purse and backpack where they found 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine, 140 stamp bags of heroin, an ounce of marijuana and 64 various pills.
