State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a burglary that occurred Tuesday at the Slovak Club in Osceola Mills. During the incident, someone allegedly pried open a hatch wooden door to the cooler, then crawled through the door and once inside tried to pry open a wooden kitchen door to gain access to the bar area but was unsuccessful. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
Sandy Township
- Police responded to a report of a passed-out female, located on a path between Wal-Mart and the bowling alley. Upon arrival, contact was made and it was found she had a bag containing five cans of duster. At one point, she reportedly took a can and began huffing it in front of an officer. The female was subsequently taken into custody and charges have been filed against her.
- On Saturday police were contacted by a 14-year-old boy who reported that his mother’s paramour threatened him with a drill. Upon arrival, it was found the boy had been punished, and the 56-year-old man had used the drill to remove the lock from his bedroom door. The boy and his mother both claimed that there had been previous incidents, during which the man struck the boy. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle crash Saturday. According to police, a 19-year-old DuBois man was traveling along Route 322. When he attempted to turn onto Kiwanis Trail, he reportedly pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Reynoldsville man, causing the two vehicles to collide. The Reynoldsville man and his 51-year-old passenger were both treated, then transported by ambulance. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and the teen was cited for the crash.
- On Saturday a Calabash Court woman contacted police to have them check an abandoned vehicle for a dead body. Officers checked the vehicle, which was empty. The owner was subsequently located and the situation was handled without incident.
- Police received a report about a male who was near the Fullington Bus Station and trying to take his belt and pants off. However, officers were unable to locate him.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who appeared to have fallen from his motorcycle in the area of the Blinker Sheetz on Saturday. According to police, the male said he pulled over because he started to not feel well. He was assisted by another motorist until police arrival; his sister then came to monitor his health.
- Police received a report about people smoking something out of a glass pipe Saturday at a Hetrick Road residence. There was no contact made with the suspicious individuals, however.
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call Sunday at a Maple Avenue residence. Upon arrival, contact was made with a 35-year-old woman who said her live-in boyfriend took their truck and she wanted to report it as stolen. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Sunday police received a report from a 29-year-old man who stated a male at the Bobette Motel had several active arrest warrants. Upon further investigation, it was learned he made the report after he’d discovered the male was with his girlfriend. The report was unfounded, police said.
- Police received a report about a couple engaged in a verbal argument Sunday at Bimini Beach in Treasure Lake. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police reported a false alarm at Petco on Sunday.
- Police reported a false alarm at Joann Fabric and Craft store on Sunday.
- On Sunday police were contacted by a passerby who witnessed a female motorist following a male through the Wal-Mart parking lot, and they were reportedly yelling at each other. Officers located the couple and handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run crash Monday. According to police, a tractor-trailer hit another tractor-trailer while attempting to park at Pilot. Then, its driver fled the scene.
- Police were contacted by Wal-Mart employees who reported someone took an electric shopping cart Monday and tried to leave the parking lot.
- Police responded to a reported custody dispute Monday at the parking lot of Adamson’s Funeral Home. The situation was handled without incident.
- On Monday police were contacted by a DuBois man who stated his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend drove by him at the Blinker Sheetz and flipped him off.
- Police reported a false alarm at Red Lobster on Monday.
