State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on the Viola Pike in Gulich Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a black-colored house number sign with gold numbers and letters. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of indecent exposure Saturday on Big Run – Prescottville Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, a male was observed behind a 68-year-old Reynoldsville woman’s home, and he allegedly exposed his private area to her. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-371-4652.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an altercation on South Fourth Street. Upon arrival, police found that a mother and daughter had been involved in a verbal altercation.
- Police arrested a female, located along Daisy Street, who had active arrest warrants. She was also allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Police received a report about trespassing on Elk Avenue. According to police, it was believed that someone had been heard inside a vacant residence. However, a search was done and police were unable to locate anyone or signs of entry.
- Police responded to a reported animal complaint on Nichols Street.
- Police received a report about an altercation that involved two females on North Third Street. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police received a report about several people involved in a fight in the area of East Cherry and South Fourth streets. Upon arrival, it was found everyone had left the scene. However, police were able to make contact with some individuals and learned it was only verbal in nature.
- Police arrested a male along Margaretta Street after he was found to have an active warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently transported to the jail.
- Sandy Township police were assisted with attempting to make contact with a vehicle owner who was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run.
- Police handled an incident of harassment by communications.
- Police received a report about a female who had been passed out inside a vehicle on Quarry Avenue; once she’d awoken, she left the area. At some point, police say the vehicle was being driven erratically in the hospital parking lot. However, state police assisted by ultimately locating the vehicle in Mineral Springs. Police say the female driver was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and is being charged with DUI.
- Police received a report about a lost female on Martin Street. Officers located the female who has issues with her sight, and she was transported home.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported on a traffic stop Monday on state Route 879 that resulted in a warrant service and drug violations. According to police, contact was made with the driver, 27-year-old Ty Clutter from Curwensville, and his passenger, a 24-year-old Grampian man. It was found Clutter had six active warrants through various agencies, including the county’s Sheriff’s Office. Police requested assistance from a Pennsylvania State Police K-9 Unit; the k-9 alerted to the vehicle and officers allegedly located methamphetamine and various items of drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was towed from the scene, police released the passenger and Clutter was housed in county jail on warrants. Charges are currently pending against both for this incident.
- Police received a report about a drug violation July 17 at the Clearfield County Jail. According to police, 32-year-old Daniel Brion of Clearfield was brought in for a probation violation; he’d allegedly provided a “fake” urine sample to his probation officer during a routine drug test. He was subsequently taken into custody and to the jail, where police say he was found to have a small bag of methamphetamine in his wallet. Charges have been filed against Brion for this incident.
- Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash Monday on U.S. Route 322 near Golden Rod Storage. According to police, a Curwensville juvenile was traveling westbound when they say an oncoming vehicle entered their lane of travel. The juvenile veered from their lane and impacted the curb, resulting in damage to their passenger’s side tires and windshield. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
- Police received a report about a retail theft case at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Clearfield. Upon investigation, it was found that 48-year-old Heather Kolbe of Clearfield had allegedly under-rang 80 items, which were valued at $621.31, between April 15 and July 11. As a result, charges have been filed against Kolbe.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an argument Thursday in the Giant Eagle parking lot. Upon arrival, officers “cleared” those involved, and no citations were issued.
- Police received a report about loud patrons Thursday on the deck of the Eastside Sports Bar. Upon arrival, police could neither locate anyone on the deck, nor being too loud.
- On Friday police were dispatched to help a female resident with receiving mental health assistance. She was subsequently released into the care of emergency personnel.
- On Friday police received a report about a fox in the area of South Main Street. According to police, the caller was concerned about its safety and had put out some food. They were advised the animal could care for itself, and it was suggested that they not put out any more food.
- Police were requested to locate a male who was in need of mental health assistance on Friday. He was located and subsequently transported to Penn Highlands for treatment.
- Police received a report about a male possibly using drugs inside a vehicle in the Martin’s Grocery parking lot on Friday. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male who denied having used any drugs and he consented to a search of his vehicle. A search allegedly uncovered drugs and paraphernalia, and the male later admitted to possessing marijuana, methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a disorderly female Friday at the city’s municipal building. She was subsequently escorted from the property; no citations were issued for the incident.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance Friday. Upon arrival, contact was made and police found an adult female had been arguing with her father because he wouldn’t co-sign for a vehicle loan. Her father’s roommate tried to intervene; however, the argument didn’t end until police arrival on-scene. No arrests were made as a result of this incident.
- While on routine patrol Friday, police stopped three juveniles who were on bicycles. According to police, they had been causing traffic issues by weaving in front of the patrol vehicle and blocking the lane of travel. Police counseled the juveniles, then they were released.
- On Friday police were dispatched several times concerning trespassing at a North Jared Street residence. According to police, the caller said a female was present after the landlord advised her that she wasn’t permitted to be there. Officers learned the caller’s roommate had invited the female over, and the caller was referred to the landlord.
- On Saturday police were requested to check the welfare of a male at the Sheetz store, located on North Brady Street. According to police, the caller related the male had told him he was a registered sex offender but didn’t know what to do. Upon arrival, contact was made and police found the male had been kicked out of Just for Jesus, then a local police department had dropped him off there. Police provided the male with contact for the Pennsylvania State Police to report his change of address, as required within three days.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance Saturday on Williams Street. Upon arrival, police found a female hiding in a bathroom; a male was still inside the home, as well. Upon further investigation, it was found there was no cause for an arrest, and police cleared the scene.
- Police received a report about a disorderly individual Sunday in the 500 block of Sunflower Drive. Upon arrival, officers assisted the staff as-needed, and they advised the situation would be handled through the business. Police subsequently cleared the scene.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance Sunday in the first block of Shaffer Alley. Upon arrival, it was found to be verbal in nature, and both parties agreed to stay away from each other for the rest of the night.
