Friday, July 19
DiscoverE: Hide-N-Seekers:
2 p.m. – Environmental Education Classroom
Age Requirement: 4-5 years-old
Join us as we discover our senses and learn about wildlife and how they use their senses to survive in nature. Games, crafts, and other activities are a part of this summer-long program series. Check at the Park Office for more info.
Nature Nut—Frogs:
8:30 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
Who doesn’t love seeing a frog in a pond, lake, or swamp? Learn more about them in this quirky video by Nature Nut, John Acorn.
Saturday, July 20
What Was Dinner?:
10 a.m. – Environmental Education Classroom
Some species can leave behind clues to their survival in nature. Owls do so be leaving pellets. Learn about owls and their pellets as we dissect one.
Man and the Moon:
1 p.m. – Environmental Education Classroom
So, 50 years ago today, man landed on the moon. If you are fascinated by the moon, come learn some interesting facts about the Earth’s natural satellite.
Owls at the Beach:
3 p.m. – outside Beach House
Learn what makes owl special, and what kinds we have living in the park. Taxidermy mounts of many different species on hand.
Owl Power:
8:30 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
Using the latest in camera technology, computer graphics, x-rays, and super-sensitive microphones, we can take a brand-new look at owls in more detail than ever before. PBS Nature program.
