State police at Clearfield
- State police reported on a drug-related DUI that occurred May 29 in the area of Winburne and Sportsman’s roads in Cooper Township. During the incident, a 53-year-old Morrisdale man was allegedly driving under the influence of methamphetamine. Charges have been filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred June 23 on Whitman Street in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took the victim’s gas can. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police responded to a report of an overdose June 24 at Tomorrow’s Hope in Coalport in Beccaria Township. According to state police, Narcan was administered and a 36-year-old Clearfield man was transported to the Altoona Hospital in “good condition.”
- State police received a report about a drug-related incident that occurred June 2 at the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale in Woodward Township. As a result, two New York women were arrested, and charges have been filed through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred June 24 on Shortcut Road in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a black Under Armour bookbag, a black leather Dickeys wallet containing identification and credit cards and several prescribed medications. - State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred between May 7 and June 7 on Route 219 in Brockway Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s shed through an open window and removed a pair of Gaerne dirt bike riding boots and a pair of Grenzgrener dirt bike riding gloves. State police at Ridgway
- State police reported on a drug-related incident that occurred Wednesday on Route 219/Court Road in Horton Township. Troopers were requested to assist Pennsylvania State Parole after drugs and paraphernalia were allegedly found during a home visit. Upon investigation, it was found the items belonged to 51-year-old Brian Lucot of Ridgway, who was subsequently taken into custody. He was arraigned before the district court and housed in the Elk County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a noise complaint on East Eighth Street. Police were able to make contact with the individuals and advise them of the complaint.
- Police arrested a female for allegedly driving under the influence after she was found passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle on Nichols Street. Police say she was unable to perform any field sobriety tests due to her level of intoxication. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police are investigating an incident of retail theft after a male allegedly removed items from an East Market Street business without paying for them.
DuBois City
- On Tuesday police received a report about the driver of a blue- or gray-colored Ford Escape who has been continually driving around the block and turning around in driveways on Randall Court. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police responded to Maple Avenue on Tuesday for a report about several juveniles trying to fight the caller’s sons. When police made contact with one male, there was allegedly a strong odor of alcohol. He was cited for underage consumption and released to his mother. Police also made contact with the other juveniles and their parents. No other charges were filed for this incident because the victim declined prosecution.
- Police received a report Tuesday about a couple fighting in the area of the Gateway Towers. According to police, a witness said a male was trying to pull a purse from a female’s arm during an argument. Upon arrival, it was learned the female was breaking off her relationship, and the male had tried to retrieve a key from her purse. Both told police they would separate, so they didn’t upset one another.
- On Tuesday police received a report about a child who was “kicking and screaming” outside of a green Jeep on Parkway Drive near the city’s garage. According to police, a witness said two adults occupying the vehicle wouldn’t allow the child access, and this had been going on for eight to 10 minutes. Upon arrival, police made contact with the adults who stated their child was being “disciplined and everyone needed to mind their own business.”
- Police received a report Tuesday about two males arguing on East Weber Avenue. Upon arrival, it was learned a father and son had a disagreement; both calmed down and police cleared the scene.
