DUBOIS – The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group (DDRG) will be hosting a Hometown Hero Banner dedication ceremony.  It’s being held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at the Edward Cherry Amphitheater in the DuBois City Park.

DDRG is taking this time to honor service men and women from the local community. The ceremony will feature guest speakers, music and light refreshments.

Those who purchased them will have the opportunity to see their full-size banners that will be hung throughout DuBois.

DDRG is “very proud to have put this program together, as it’s important to celebrate veterans and first responders.”  In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in the back room of the DuBois American Legion Post 17.

Applications are currently being accepted for the second round of Hometown Heroes Banners. The application deadline is Aug. 31.

For more information about the banners or for an application, please visit the project’s Facebook page.  Interested persons may also call the DDRG office at 814-371-3064.
