Artist/Educator to Present a Toast to American Pop Dance at CALs

From the 1860’s through the 1960’s, Cynthia Mazzant will take locals on a trip through a century of dance thanks to Galaxy CIU No. 10 in partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on Arts and the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging.

This free, multi-generational program is for anyone interested in dance and is an opportunity for dance groups of all ages as well as spectators.

Program dates and locations are:

  • June 17 – Kylertown CAL: 814-345-6338
  • June 18 – Mahaffey CAL: 814-277-4544
  • June 24 – Clearfield CAL: 814-765-9319
  • June 25 – Coalport CAL: 814-762-3574

Mazzant will be appearing from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Class space is limited, so please call your local CAL for reservations or for more information.

The Pennsylvania Council on Arts (PCA) is charged with development and promotion of the arts in the commonwealth. To accomplish its mission, the PCA encourages education excellence throughout the commonwealth.

The PCA has partnered with the CCAAA Inc. and Galaxy to bring specialized artists to showcase their skills and talents at the Centers for Active Living (CAL).

Programs and services of the agency are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., Mature Resources Foundation and local and consumer contributions.
