State police at Clearfield

  • State police received a report about a burglary that occurred sometime June 1-2 at Action Cycle & ATV LLC in Boggs Township. During the incident, someone allegedly forced entry and removed a dirt bike and a vintage 1972 Yamaha 360 Enduro motorcycle, which is gray in color. Also, state police say multiple goggles, gloves, handle bars and chains were stolen. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.

Lawrence Township

  • Police responded to a report of a possible DUI on April 10 at the Arby’s Restaurant, located along the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. As a result, 56-year-old Gay L. Peters of Clearfield was taken into custody and to the hospital for a legal blood draw. Charges have been filed against Peters for the incident.
  • Police received a report about a retail theft Tuesday at the Goodwill store in Clearfield. According to police, a known female – identified as 34-year-old Danielle Aughenbaugh of Glen Richey – entered the store on two, separate occasions. After the first time, it was suspected items had been stolen, which was later confirmed via video surveillance. When she returned later that day, Aughenbaugh allegedly concealed various items but removed them before being confronted by an employee; this was also confirmed by video surveillance. Charges have been filed against Aughenbaugh for retail theft, a second-degree misdemeanor.
