CLEARFIELD – A Williamsburg, Pa. man is wanted in five, separate cases because of his failure to appear for various court proceedings in Clearfield County.

The fugitive was identified as Donald Jack Wise, 30, in a press release issued by Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. on Tuesday afternoon.

On Sept. 2, 2018, Trooper Andrew Mills of the Clearfield-based state police charged Wise with persons not to possess firearms, F2, two counts; receiving stolen property, F2, two counts; and use/possession of drug paraphernalia, M.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Sept. 1, 2018, state troopers received information from Lawrence Township police concerning occupants of a vehicle being in possession of stolen handguns.

Upon arrival on-scene, troopers obtained consent to search the vehicle. Wise was allegedly found in possession of two stolen handguns, drug paraphernalia and other people’s identification cards.

A background check conducted on Wise reportedly revealed that he’s prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior conviction.

On Jan. 21, Wise failed to appear for a hearing concerning his violation of supervised bail, according to Shaw, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

In four other, separate cases, Clearfield Borough police have charged Wise with theft by unlawful taking, theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

“Each incident relates to various thefts from motor vehicles in Clearfield Borough,” Shaw stated. “On Dec. 12, 2018, Wise failed to appear for preliminary hearings, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest in each matter.”

Wise is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He also has brown hair and eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of Wise’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by visiting the Clearfield County District Attorney Web site at “www.ClearfieldDA.org” and selecting “Report A Crime.”
