WOODLAND – Clearfield-based state police are reminding motorists that window tint is illegal, unless it meets specific standards.
According to state police, in sedans the front and rear side windows and rear window must allow 70 percent of light into the vehicle.
State police say that the windshield, however, must allow over 70 percent of light in with exception to the top three inches.
In sports utility vehicles, trucks and vans, the front side windows must allow 70 percent of light in. The rear side and rear windows can be tinted to any darkness level.
State police say in these vehicles, the windshield must also allow 70 percent of light in with exception to the top three inches.
Troopers intend to “aggressively” enforce any violations.
