Lawrence Township

  • Police reported on a drug violation that occurred Thursday at the Edgewood Apartments. According to police, it was learned during an investigation at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School that a 14-year-old had drugs at his home. The school resource officer, along with the township police, went to the teen’s’ home and was given consent to search. Police say it turned up suspected marijuana and paraphernalia, and charges are currently pending at this time.
  • Police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred Friday on South Second Street. According to police, a red Ford F150 began swerving and the driver was committing multiple traffic violations. Police stopped the vehicle and determined its driver – a 19-year-old Curwensville man – was under the influence of a controlled substance and alcohol. He was also allegedly in possession of brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia. Police took the man to the hospital for a legal blood draw, then to county jail for a probation violation. Charges are currently pending at this time.
