CLEARFIELD – On April 8, the Lock Haven University physician assistant students will be hosting a celebrity waiter night at the Dutch Pantry in Clearfield from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
All proceeds will go toward the Lacy Magagnotti Memorial Scholarship.
Lacy was a local alumna of the Lock Haven PA program – Clearfield campus in the Class of 2012 – and she lost her battle with cancer.
She was diagnosed in 2013, just after having her daughter. After a two-year fight, Lacy passed away in January of 2015 surrounded by her family.
She was a “lively and spirited” woman as well as a “skilled and caring” clinician. The students of the current Lock Haven PA program would like to honor her and keep her spirit alive by continuing this scholarship fund in her name.
To fund this scholarship, the students will be hosting this fundraiser at the Dutch Pantry. The students will be serving meals to restaurant patrons as well as running a Chinese auction.
Ten percent of all dinner profits, 100 percent of all tips and all Chinese auction proceeds will go toward the scholarship fund.
Local individuals and businesses are being asked to consider donating directly to the scholarship fund or to the event’s Chinese auction.
A donation, such as a gift certificate to a business or a themed basket, would be greatly welcomed. To do so, please contact Paulina Paw at pap3416@lockhaven.edu by April 1 to set up a pick-up or drop-off.
If a contribution of this sort is not possible or you would like to give to this scholarship fund directly, you can contact Paw to make a monetary donation.
Checks can be made payable to “LHU Foundation” with “Lacy Magagnotti Physician Assistant Memorial Scholarship” written in the memo section. The names of those who donate will then be displayed at the event.
