CLEARFIELD – Troutville Borough is in need of poll workers for Election Day.

At Tuesday’s Clearfield County Commissioners’ meeting, Director of Elections Dawn Graham reported this small municipality currently only has two poll workers, and it needs a total of five.

If there aren’t enough workers to fully staff this polling place, she said it could possibly be moved to another precinct with the closest being five miles away.

Anyone with interest in working at this polling place is asked to contact Graham at 814-765-2642, Ext. 5053, as soon as possible.

Also, Graham said after careful consideration and inspection, the Board of Election is proposing a polling place change for Grampian Borough.

She said that the new location meets all handicap accessibility and safety requirements as well as provides ample and adequate parking for all future elections.

She said the Grampian Borough precinct is currently located at the Grampian Penn Bloom Fire Co., 251 Main St., Grampian, and it’s proposed re-location is to St. Bonaventure Social Center, 449 Main St., Grampian.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please submit them in writing by Monday, Feb. 25, to the Clearfield County Board of Elections, Attn: Dawn Graham, director of elections, at 212 E. Locust St., Suite 106, Clearfield PA 16830 or via e-mail at elections@clearfieldco.org.

If there are no objections received by this date, it will be placed on the agenda for approval at the Clearfield County Commissioners’ meeting to be held Feb. 26.

In other business, the commissioners:

  • approved a lease agreement with the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church for Lawrence Township’s Golden Rod polling place.
  • approved a linkage agreement between the county and PeerStar LLC.
