CLEARFIELD – Lefort’s Sweet Shoppe recently opened its doors at 117 E. Market St., in downtown Clearfield. It’s located at the former Neeper’s Sweet Treats.
The store was purchased in November by Kelly Lefort, who runs it along with her husband, Charles and son, Billy. It will continue to offer bulk chocolates, novelty candies and ice cream.
“[The] Lefort’s have attempted to bring back the corner candy store nostalgia,” says Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner.
According to Wagner, the Lefort’s have made some new additions, such as espresso, coffee, tea and hot chocolate to go along with fresh bake goods.
The store also offers free WiFi and encourages people to stop in to hang out with friends or business associates in a casual setting.
