GLENDALE – Playing its third straight game of the week, the Curwensville girls basketball team fell to Glendale Wednesday night, 53-40, on the Lady Vikings’ home court in a Moshannon Valley League encounter.
The Lady Tide stayed with the Lady Vikings throughout the first half, trailing just 27-23 at the intermission.
A tough third quarter, where the Tide were outscored 16-6 pretty much sealed the deal for Glendale.
Madison Weber had 19 points for Curwensville, with Briana Swindell chipping in with 13.
For Glendale it was Olivia Reese with 17 leading the way as Kyla Campbell with 12 and Sydney Lumadue scoring 10 helped out the Lady Vikings.
Glendale also won the JV game, beating Curwensville by a score of 43-6.
Curwensville (3-8) has a home game on Friday against Kane with the junior varsity starting at 6 pm and the varsity to immediately follow.
