State police at Ridgway

  • State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Oct. 29 on Hulett Street in Benezette Township. During the incident, a 30-year-old Falls Creek woman, Shalynn Chesnoka, allegedly struck the victim’s door and threatened her. Charges were filed through the district court.

Lawrence Township

  • Police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct Nov. 2 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. During the incident, a male allegedly became “irate,” screaming and using vulgar language toward store employees after they refused to work on his vehicle that was hitched to a trailer. He was asked to “un-hook” the trailer, then it “would not be an issue.” However, police say the male continued his actions and stated “he just had a heart attack” and “couldn’t do it himself.” A manager explained that it was against their policies and procedures for an employee to do this because of liability issues. Police were requested to respond and remove the male from the property. No charges were filed.
