HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – On Monday Sears Holdings Corp. filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

HOUTZDALE – Samuel Bonsell, 28, of Beccaria has been accused of burglarizing the Moshannon Valley High School and stealing the student driver vehicle, Clearfield-based state police say.
HARRISBURG – Legislation, sponsored by Senator Tom McGarrigle (R-26), providing students with alternatives to Keystone Exams to fulfill high school graduation requirements received final legislative approval Tuesday and is set for enactment into law.
CLEARFIELD – After recent heavy storms and flooding in Lawrence Township, the supervisors Tuesday night discussed assembling two emergency trailers with supplies to help with future emergencies.
CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Municipal Authority again discussed the sanitary sewer overflow in Hyde and the possibility of taking over the sewer lines for the township at Tuesday’s meeting.
HARRISBURG – Bipartisan legislation that would provide a standardized process as to how public safety facilities, including state prisons and state police barracks, are closed in the future is now headed to the Governor’s desk.
BROOKVILLE — A former Catholic priest for four decades in the Diocese of Erie, David Poulson, pleaded guilty today to felony crimes in connection with repeated sexual assaults against one boy and the attempted assault of another boy.
