DUBOIS – The 32nd annual Father Gregory Leopold eighth grade girls’ basketball tournament will be held at DuBois Central Catholic this weekend.
The tourney will run Friday evening, Oct. 19, and all-day Saturday, Oct. 20, in Central’s gym.
Participating schools are the Lady Raiders of Brookville, Lady Chucks of Punxsutawney, Lady Owls of Bradford, Lady Beavers of DuBois, Lady Tide of Curwensville, and the host Lady Cardinals.
The tourney is hosted each fall in memory of the late Father Gregory Leopold, a teacher and avid supporter of student athletics at Central prior to his death in an automobile accident in 1984.
Each team is assured of three games. The tournament is organized and sponsored by the Athletic Department, with the support of the parents of the Lady Cardinals.
The tournament is open to the public.
