CLEARFIELD – Ben Blake Jr. attended the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) in June after he enrolled in the Truck Driver Training program.

On his way to the first day of class, he noticed a vehicle along the road and stopped to help push the disabled vehicle off the road.  The person he helped ended up being his Truck Driver Training instructor.

Truck Driver Training Coordinator, Wendy Gordon, explained that Blake graduated at the top of the class and was an exemplary student.

Blake said that he chose CCCTC from the many recommendations he received from others, and he in-turn recommends the program, indicating it would be a mistake not to attend.

He learned how to operate a commercial combination vehicle efficiently and safely and is now employed with XPO Logistics.

Blake is only one example of how CCCTC graduates use their education to strengthen the industry in their field of study.
