CLEARFIELD – Plans are currently under way for this year’s Ales for Tails event, which will feature an extensive variety of craft beers.
This year’s event will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., at the Florian Banquet Center in Clearfield.
The event is hosted by the Clearfield County Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a 501(c) organization that operates solely on donations and fundraisers.
The annual calendar contest and Ales for Tails will be the two largest fundraiser initiatives for the SPCA this year.
The proceeds from these events help the SPCA to provide “a valuable service to the people of Clearfield and surrounding communities.”
Jenna Liegey, event organizer, is optimistic for this year’s event, because it has continued to grow. She said major sponsor, Budget Beverage, is providing a large variety of beer for sampling.
Live music, food vendors and a meal deal will also be included in the ticket price.
