CLEARFIELD – A Curwensville man pleaded guilty to drug charges during colloquy court Monday.

Wayne Bambarger, 38, was sentenced by Judge Paul Cherry to six months to one year in jail and four years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-methamphetamine, criminal conspiracy, prohibited offensive weapon and four counts of corruption of minors.

The charges stem from a drug bust at Bambarger’s Curwensville home on Nov. 25, 2017 following a report that April Bambarger was selling marijuana, pills and methamphetamine from the residence.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, a witness told police April Bambarger had a bag full of marijuana and butane torch she said was “for meth.”

After a search warrant was executed on the home, police found a small black container with two separately packaged baggies of meth, multiple separately packaged baggies of marijuana, a pill bottle with assorted unidentified pills packaged for sale, two quarter sticks of explosives, scales and assorted drug paraphernalia. They also discovered a sawed-off shotgun in April and Wayne Bambarger’s bedroom.

The couple had five juveniles under the age of 16 living in the home.

April Bambarger is facing similar charges and is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
