DUBOIS – Several styles of art will be featured by the DuBois Area Historical Society and in cooperation with Tri-County Church Downtown during Art Walk 2018 scheduled for June 2 in downtown DuBois.
Film art will be featured when the society and Tri-County Church Downtown co-host a Tom Mix Film Festival. Silent film idol Tom Mix was born in Mix Run and raised in DuBois.
The films will be shown at Tri-County’s facilities at 49 W. Long Ave., with main features at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Children will be able to make drawings of their own to take home during the open house at the society’s E. D. Reitz Museum, 30 W. Long Ave., DuBois.
After that process, the children and their parents will be able to refuel with cookies from the society’s cookie sale.
The society’s museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and among its exhibits are paintings and photographs. All of the activities are free and open to the public.
