The Elk County Democratic Committee will hold its quadrennial re-organizational meeting May 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Marys Elks Lodge, 33 Lafayette St., in St. Marys.
The meeting will take place in the Chatter Bar, which is located downstairs and attendees may enter through the Chatter Bar entrance on the lower left side of the lodge building.
At the meeting, recently elected precinct committee members will elect a county chair, vice chair and treasurer.
Any duly registered and enrolled Democratic voter of Elk County for a period of two years preceding the spring Primary Election interested in serving as county chair, vice chair or treasurer should attend the meeting to declare their interest or send a representative to place their name into nomination.
Following the conclusion of the re-organizational meeting, a regular monthly meeting will follow along with social time to converse with fellow Elk County Democrats.
The meeting is open to all registered Democrats in Elk County. The committee will be finalizing plans for the annual Elk Country Democratic Summer Picnic, which is scheduled for July 15 at the Crystal Fire Department Training Facility, West Creek Road, St. Marys.
