Kenneth H. “Styme” Teats Sr., 59, of Philipsburg and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his home.

Born Feb. 20, 1959 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Kenneth H. Buchanan and Esther L. Teats.

He was of the Christian Faith.

Mr. Teats was an assembler for Coil Specialty Inc. in State College.  He was a 1977 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.

He also graduated from the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center in 1977 and from the South Hills Business School in 2002.

While attending the CCCTC, his design was used to construct the gazebo in Witmer Park in Clearfield.

He enjoyed art, music, old movies, hiking in the woods and making home-drawn Christmas cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James A. Callahan and Joseph G. Mayes, who helped raise him after the death of his father.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth H. Teats Jr. of Philipsburg; two sisters, Jeanne L. Callahan of Osceola Mills and Lisa K. Hartmann of Bordentown, N.J.; and one brother, Jeffrey M. Teats of Osceola Mills.

He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Ruth Teats of Houtzdale; four nieces, Jessica C. Lindstrom, Jamie L. Callahan, Jenna S. Hartmann and Khandyce English; one great-niece, Hunter J. Lindstrom; and one great-nephew, Callan J. Lindstrom.

At his request, there will be no viewing of funeral service. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
