State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Wednesday at the Delancy Post Office in Young Township. During the incident, someone went into the lobby and allegedly threw a shelf against the employee entrance. State police say they also scattered numerous paper materials on the floor and disturbed various other items in the lobby. A similar incident occurred the previous day, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-938-0510.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an assault that occurred April 13 in Ridgway Borough. During the incident, a 40-year-old Ridgway man allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with a juvenile during school hours at the Ridgway Middle School. The investigation is ongoing and involves multiple agencies.
- A state police fire marshal investigated a fire Wednesday at 120 Judge Rd., Sandy Township. The fire occurred at an abandoned mobile home and was determined to be incendiary in nature. - Police responded to a report about a loose dog on Daisy Street. Police made contact with the owner who was able to retrieve the dog.
- Police fingerprinted a person for acceptance into an academy.
- Police received a report about an open door at a Daisy Street apartment that appeared to be vacant. Police were able to secure the apartment.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred along Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a driver who was texting while driving along North Second Street. Police were unable to locate the driver.
- Police arrested a male on an active warrant along Nichols Street. He was allegedly in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
