Obituary Notice: Mabel Ellen Overdorf (Moyer) (Provided photo)

Mabel Ellen Overdorf (Moyer), 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 16, 2018

She was born Nov. 13, 1922 in Roaring Branch, Pa., a daughter of the late Lee and Sara Moyer.

She married Donald Leon Overdorf on June 22, 1941 and they had 60 wonderful years together.

She was a 1938 graduate of the West Corners School in New York, and a housewife.

She is the last of her generation and is survived by her daughter, Diane and her husband, Mark Mills of Clearfield, both of whom she loved dearly, and two other daughters and their families. She is also survived by her “grand-dog,” Lady, which she loved very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Robert, Elwood and Kenneth; and two sisters, Mary Eagleberger and Margaret Moyer.

Mrs. Overdorf was a proud member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and served as a deaconess and Assistant Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed yard work and making quilts as well as doing puzzles, drawing and baking.

At her request, there will be no visitation and a private ceremony. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc.

Memorial contributions can be made to any local SPCA.

Online tributes can be made at www.bennettandhouser.com or www.mem.com.
