DUBOIS — Freshman center fielder Thane Morgan (Clearfield) singled three times in four official at-bats and scored six runs in two of Penn State DuBois’ wins last week.

He had one hit, walked once and scored twice in Thursday’s 13-3 rout of Butler Community College and had two hits, scored four runs and stole a base in an 18-0 romp over Penn State Fayette Sunday afternoon, both games at Showers Field.

Statistics were not available for the Lions’ 9-2 and 14-3 victories over Penn State Fayette at Lemont Furnace Saturday.

Penn State DuBois is 16-6 overall and 7-1 in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference to lead Penn State Beaver by 1½ games in the West Division, though trailing Roaring Lions, who are 3-0, by percentage points.

The Eagles lost the twinbill nightcap, 22-8, as well as the series opener Friday, 11-5.

They are 2-7 in the Landmark Conference and 5-17 overall.

Morgan carries a .286 average on six hits, including one triple and one double. He has driven in seven runs and scored six.
