State police at Philipsburg

  • Sometime between Sept. 1, 2017 and Feb. 22, drugs were thrown over an embankment in the 2100 block of Rattlesnake Road in Union Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.

State police at Punxsutawney

  • State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Tuesday on Barilar Road in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly drove through the victim’s yard, leaving tire marks and damaging the grass. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 814-938-0510.
  • State police reported that Chad A. Lathrop, 38, of Brookville is facing charges of aggravated assault, two counts, and terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. On Tuesday troopers were dispatched to an alleged domestic altercation in progress. The victim was taken to the Brookville Hospital and Lathrop into custody. He was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail. State police responded from the DuBois and Punxsutawney stations, in addition to the Brookville police and the Jefferson County Sheriff.

Curwensville Borough

  • Police received a report regarding a custody dispute.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious person walking along Route 879 near Arnoldtown. They were assisted with a courtesy transport home.
  • Police received a call regarding an emergency custody order at a Grandview Avenue address.
  • Police assisted a motorist who locked their keys inside their vehicle on Ridgeview Avenue.
  • Police received a report about an abandoned vehicle on State Street.
