CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer Snyder has released the office’s annual report for 2017. The following is the number of death investigations by month.

In 2017, the coroner’s office investigated 400 natural deaths, 22 accidental deaths, 19 suicides and four homicides. There were not any undetermined deaths.
Further, Shaffer Snyder specifically noted that the aforementioned statistics included seven drug overdose deaths last year.
The coroner’s office received and reviewed 421 cremation authorizations. In 2017, its total number of cases was 866.
