Skills USA is a national student organization that instills the development of employability, participatory and leadership skills to complement the occupational skills developed by students in technical education classrooms or work-based learning sites.

Some of the purposes of the Skills competitions are to unite a common bond in students; develop leadership abilities; instill work ethic; help students attain a purposeful life; create enthusiasm for learning; and promote a high standard in trade ethics, workmanship, scholarship and safety.

The state competition will be held in Hershey from April 18-20.  This year’s theme is “Champions at Work, Job-Ready Day One.”
