CLEARFIELD – A 21-year-old DuBois woman, Carrie Bish, is wanted for her failure to appear for a pre-trial conference Nov. 9, 2017 in a firearm case, District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced Tuesday.

On Nov. 9, 2016, Corporal Randall Young of the DuBois City Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Bish. He charged Bish with receiving stolen property, F2; conspiracy/receiving stolen property, F2; firearms not to be carried without a license, F3; and conspiracy/firearms not to be carried without a license, F3.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Oct. 26, 2016, officers received information about a known male and female (identified as Bish) in the Main Street area of DuBois. They were reportedly in possession of a gun and drugs.

Upon arrival, officers observed both acting suspiciously. When contact was made with the couple, Young questioned Bish about being in possession of a gun.

She allegedly admitted to being in possession of a handgun that the male had put in her purse. Bish also told Young that she does not have a license to carry a firearm.

As a result, the couple was taken into custody, and police say a search of the male yielded controlled substances. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the handgun had previously been stolen.

A preliminary hearing was held Dec. 16, 2016, at which time all charges were sent to county court. On Nov. 9, 2017, Bish failed to appear at a pre-trial conference and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Bish is described as a Caucasian female who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall. She has brown hair and eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of Bish’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
