REYNOLDSVILLE – Jeff Tech students and art club members were very creative in constructing a Viking Snowman out of bottle caps this winter.

Under the direction of Art Teacher, Angela Dragich, Jeff Tech student, Daylene Tabascko designed the drawing for the project.

Donations of bottle caps of all kinds were accepted from students and staff.  The Building Trade students constructed a stand for the snowman from wood and cardboard.

Once the bottle caps were collected, students in the Auto Body shop painted them the various colors needed.  The art class and art club students then glued the bottle caps onto the outlined design using glue guns.

The completed Viking Snowman has been displayed in the front hallway for everyone to enjoy this winter.

The leftover bottle caps were given to 2017 graduate, Jade Steele, who will take them to Phi Beta Lambda at Point Park University of Pittsburgh, Pa., for the National Kidney Foundation.

Each plastic bottle cap that is collected will provide one minute of dialysis for a local child in need.  Jeff Tech was very excited that it was able to donate three boxes of bottle caps.
