JAY TOWNSHIP – A 54-year-old Weedville man, Scott E. Winslow, was found deceased in a wooded area Sunday in Jay Township, Ridgway-based state police say.
According to the report, at 10:30 a.m., state police responded to search for Winslow in a wooded area off Apple Street.
Winslow reportedly didn’t return home after a side-by-side ride on Saturday. Elk County Search and Rescue was notified and its members assisted with the search.
Upon arrival to Winslow’s last known location, troopers located him deceased. His identity was confirmed and it was determined that he had died from “apparent hypothermia combined with a medical condition” while riding his side-by-side.
Winslow was pronounced dead at the scene by Elk County Coroner Michelle Muccio.
