
CLEARFIELD – A 38-year-old Morrisdale woman, Shelby Martin, is Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week, announced District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr.
Martin is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call Oct. 26, 2017, at which time a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On May 18, 2017, Officer Shawn Kronenwetter of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Martin.
Martin was charged with possession of a controlled substance, M, and possession of drug paraphernalia, M.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 10, 2017, officers went to a local residence to serve a warrant on Martin. Upon arrival, contact was made with Martin, who was advised of the warrant.
Martin was subsequently detained and transported to the Clearfield County Jail. There, Martin was searched by corrections officers who located a clear baggy in Martin’s pocket that contained a crystalized substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
Martin denied ownership and claimed that the pants belonged to her roommate, police said.
A preliminary hearing was held July 5, 2017, at which all charges were held to court. On Oct. 26, 2017, Martin failed to appear for criminal call, at which time a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Martin is described as a Caucasian female standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall. She has brown hair and eyes.
