Obituary Notice: Irvin “Sonny” Feaster Jr. (Provided photo)

Irvin “Sonny” Feaster Jr., 84, of rural LaJose died Dec. 14, 2017 in Miners Medical Center, Hastings.

He was born Feb. 19, 1933 in Huntingdon, the son of Irvin Feaster Sr. and Edna (Cochran) Feaster.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a life member of the Mahaffey Veterans of Foreign Wars. He worked as a loader operator for the Benjamin Coal Co.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; son Douglas Feaster and his wife, Kathy of rural LaJose; and daughter, Deborah Feaster of Irvona.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Evelyn Hutton; step-son, Scott Gallaher; brother, John Feaster; and four sisters, Clara Jane Reeger, Nancy Brown, Stella Clock and Ann Berger.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Queen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, rural LaJose.
