CURWENSVILLE – You can join the staff at the Curwensville Branch Library for a fun-filled night at Santa’s Family Workshop.

The event is from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Dec. 18 and is open to the public.

The evening will begin with Peggy Barrett, youth services coordinator, sharing a holiday-themed story.

While waiting for their chance to visit Santa, families will have the opportunity to enjoy cookie decorating, ornament making and preparing a little treat to make sure the reindeer can find all the community children on Christmas Eve.

Families may also have their picture taken for a READ poster for a donation of $15. All proceeds will benefit future youth programs.

The library will also offer an ornament making station for the older kids in the family.

Parents who would like to bring their child for the Santa visit must drop off a wrapped $10 to $20 gift with a gift tag with their child’s first and last name on it no later than Thursday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m.

If a parent needs more information, would like to make special arrangements for the gift drop off or would like to register for the event, please call the library at 814-236-0355.

The library is open Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
