GLENDALE – Ronald Lynch, Glendale Elementary School instructor (left) recently presented a check for $1,350 to Carole Kruise, director of the Glendale Area Food Bank.
It was the largest amount ever collected as part of their annual donation from Glendale School District students.
Now in the 25th year that Glendale students have been collecting for the food bank, this year was accompanied by a whopping 2,700 food items.
Lynch and Kruise would like to give a very special thank you to the Coalport Veterans of Foreign Wars for its generous donation of $500.
In addition, they also expressed gratitude to all Glendale faculty members for their continued support and dress-down donations; these students for picking up the food items: Bruce Kouger, Kaprice Cavalet, Jared Brink and Madison Zeak; as well as Lynch?s sixth grade class for assistance in loading the trucks.
The classroom pizza party, awarded for bringing in the most food items and cash donations, wen to the fifth grade class of Susan Farabaugh.
