DUBOIS – Charges have filed against a Brockway woman accused of stealing funds from Penn State DuBois students.
CLEARFIELD – Lee Grace Valigorsky was admitted into the Clearfield County Bar Association Friday afternoon during a swearing in ceremony in Courtroom No. 1 at the Clearfield County Courthouse.
CLEARFIELD – An Allport woman convicted of third-degree murder in connection with the death of a two-year-old girl was sentenced Monday.
DUBOIS – A Clearfield man will stand trial for insurance fraud.
CLEARFIELD – Police statistics continue to rise for Lawrence Township, and last night during executive session, the supervisors and Chief Doug Clark discussed the possibility of adding another officer to the force on a part-time basis to fill in with upcoming changes to staffing.
CLEARFIELD – Tuesday was the 2017 municipal election in Clearfield County, and the total voter turn-out was 30.63 percent. The county has 45,992 registered voters and 14,088 ballots were cast in the 70 precincts.
CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Veterans Day Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post No. 6. The guest speaker will be Major General Laurel J. Hummel.
CLEARFIELD – A Grampian couple accused of stealing from a local fire department pleaded guilty Tuesday during plea and sentencing court in Clearfield County.
ALLENTOWN – During its annual fall conference, held this year at the Renaissance Allentown Hotel, the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association (PEDA) honored a number of organizations for their demonstration of outstanding accomplishments in economic development, including the Jefferson County Development Council Inc.
HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf announced Wednesday that just over 3,800 patients and more than 200 caregivers have registered for Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana program since the Medical Marijuana Patient and Caregiver Registry launched last week.
