CLEARFIELD – In a few short weeks, Clearfield will welcome Santa Claus back to town.
Santa will arrive via the Clearfield YMCA Christmas parade, beginning at 12 p.m. Dec. 2.
Organizers would like to invite organizations and groups to take part in the long-standing tradition.
The parade line-up will take place on North Third Street between Reed and Locust streets. It will step off on the corner of Third and Locust streets in downtown Clearfield.
Participants will proceed on North Third Street, turning right onto Cherry Street, right onto North Second Street and right onto Locust Street.
Each parade entry should be creatively decorated. There isn’t any entry fee to participate, but organizers are requesting advance registration in order or coordinate the parade line-up.
Santa will arrive to Clearfield via fire truck. After the parade, children, along with their parents, are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus inside the YMCA gymnasium.
Free hot chocolate, cookies, a stocking, and photo opportunities with Santa will be a part of the fun.
Interested participants are asked to please complete a registration form, which is available at the YMCA. Also, contact Don Herres at 814-765-5521 for more information.
