State police at Ridgway

  • State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday at the intersection of Upper Front and Depot streets in Ridgway Borough. During the incident, a Penfield male allegedly pushed the teen victim in her left shoulder and slapped her hand when he was trying to get around her to assault another pedestrian. Charges of harassment were filed against the male who fled the scene; the case is currently pending at this time.

Clearfield Borough

  • Police received a report about an activated alarm at an East Cherry Street residence. Upon arrival, police found a family member had set the alarm off.
  • Police received a report about a dog that was running loose on South Third Street. Police were able to locate the owner and return the dog.
  • Police handled a report of harassment that was taking place via text messaging.
  • Police received a report about a male who was passed out along the sidewalk in the 400 block of Nichols Street. Upon arrival, police found the male had ingested numerous types of medication.
  • Police received a report about suspicious people in the area of the horse stables in the Clearfield Driving Park. Upon arrival, police spoke to them, and they agreed to leave the area.
  • Police received reports about several vehicles being broken into and rummaged through in the area of East Pine and Dorey streets. Police say that all the vehicles were unlocked, and they would like to remind residents to keep them locked at all times.
  • Police arrested a male along East Pine Street after he was found to have an active arrest warrant through the Juniata County Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
  • Police received a report about a patient who was being aggressive with staff at the hospital. Upon arrival, police found the male was calm and being cooperative with staff.
  • Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Front and Market streets. According to police, a female driver proceeded through a red light, striking another vehicle.  No injuries were reported as a result, and one vehicle was towed from the scene.
