DUBOIS – A Labor Day weekend auto show is being held to benefit DuBois area students.
It’s being held Sept. 2 at the DuBois Mall. Registration will take place from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.; the show will immediately follow until 4 p.m. Trophies and prizes will be awarded at 3:30 p.m.
The cost to register is $10, and the show is free to spectators. It will feature 21 classes, a 50/50 and basket raffle, live DJ and grilled food.
The show has been held for the past five years, and it’s always been to raise money for charities, according to Matt Reed, organizer.
He says past shows have benefited The Josh Martino Track Scholarship, The Free Medical Clinic and Toys for Tots of Clearfield County.
“Last year, I donated over 500 books to the Oklahoma Elementary School,” he says. “This year, I am raising money to purchase school supplies for children in the DuBois area.”
Reed says that last year, the show featured over 120 cars, trucks and motorcycles and attracted over 400 people.
